I consider it to be my first final one, meaning that it's complete, but I still fully expect to work on it more. Some bits still sound odd, and several transitions still need work.
(Some of the more observant ones out there will have noticed that a good number of my contact messages have been submitted as Feory/storm).

"A new version of this song that's mastered a little more cleanly. I also cut off a misplaced bass line at the end. "

Merlins Revenge Music Video!!!!
it could start off with a scrolling across the screen on merlins "face".

The feel of this piece differs pretty substantially from the earlier ones. I'm wondering whether it's consistent enough (or even is that's an issue to be worried about). Do people maybe think it has a boss battle vibe to it? This is still a work in progress - the ending in particular could use some tightening up.
I made this using FL Studio, giving me freedom to create my own instruments and effects. (For inst ...[click title to read more]...

The most drastic difference between this and my earlier stuff is that it uses actual, real sounds. I recorded a couple guitar chords - A minor, F major, F# diminished, and G major - but I'm no guitar player, and out of maybe 15 times I recorded myself strumming each chord I would have only one or two tight enough to use as a sample. So the quality of each sa ...[click title to read more]...

It's recorded using MIDI output from my Roland keyboard (a way different feel from my more recent tracks, which all use FL Studio sounds). There are 11 separate instruments within the song. It ends at 2:04. Take a listen!

What if we made a very large song simply called "Merlin's Revenge" that serves as its theme? And I say "we" because I mean that we each (or at least, everyone who feels so inclined) write our own sections of it, and in the end we compile it into something of a medley. It might work, it might not, but...I don't see why we couldn't try.
As an example, I wrote a very short, bare-bones (meaning 1-sound/8-bit style) of a possib ...[click title to read more]...

Here is some of what he said
It's the least I can do to support a great game!
The first 2 pieces (Quest 1 and 2) are actually the same track, but with two distinctive halves. I got these sounds by running MIDI data through my keyboard, using an ancient program called Master Tracks Pro. These tracks were composed using the pentatonic scale, meaning that out of the 12 note ...[click title to read more]...

Made using FL Studio, it's a remake of a song I created around 3 years ago. The beat sounded kind of robotic back then, so in making this I strove for a more human feel.
