Nintendo ver1 (131)

Merlin walks onto the screen and looks very Nintendo-era graphicish. Like the original mario before it was more prettyish. Not quite Atari level, slightly higher quality. Anyway, thenMerlin has to fight his way through the area (which is also poor graphics all the enemies and terrain and stuf) to reach the graphics chip and replace it with the good one. Thats all the thought ive put in it so far, sorry.

DO NOT GO NEAR THE BLACK HOLE!!! Its a black mist that kills you if you go in it. Only appears in out-of-the-way areas.

Droppable Weapons (91)

Weapons should be droppable and pick-up-able.

Creatures like Goblins, Orcs and Men drop their weapons when killed. Others can pick up and use them. There would be no size limit to which weapons could be used by which creatures, so you could have a tiny little man or goblin weilding the massive sword that the Black Orc uses.

The damage done would be calculated by the strength of the character plus the damage of the weapon.

Druid (90)

I was thinking it would be neat to have a druid that could charge a spell to spray thorns at people similar to how energy beam worked and also he could morph himself into a bear to attack units with claws and get extra hit points.

Once you've cleared a screen, you can summon this chap to go and have a look at the nearby screens to see what monsters lie in wait for you. He will come back with a verbal report giving a rough idea of the types and quantities, giving you a chance to prepare for the battle.

Cities Ver 2 (76)

I have been thinking about the role of cities. How about this?

A city or town could be a collection of screens arranged in a square, with a town or city centre square in the middle.

When you first come across a city, it would be overrun with enemies, or might even be an enemy city (like an orc or goblin city). You fight your way to the middle where you fight a big battle. Dont we all like boomerangs? they r just toooo cool... well why not have merlin able to throw one as a wepon! he throws it, and it curves around more or less, depending on where/which direction u throw it. Does pretty good damage and its fast, ranged, and is able to damage multiple enemies in one throw!

I bet tons of fans would agree, that Merlin's Revenge would make an amazing portable game. Especially with the increasing popularity of iPhones, iPod Touch's, Android phones, and the new Windows Phone 7. Even if the game went onto the markets at $0.99, I am sure that tons of fans would bye it, and if they leave enough ratings and feedback, we can make Merlin's Revenge the next big hit. Merlin leveling up: Good or bad idea? (67)

If Merlin is able to level up, it makes certain potions obsolete (like faster charge). Also, when Merlin levels up, it makes it hard to summon weaker units, such as warriors and archers. So this is just something to bring up the issue.

Well, after reading steves suggestion about cities, and then someone elses comment about making castles (which would probably have cities with them), i though, how cool would it be to have a second floor to the game!
So lets say ur coming up to a city, and so theres a big castle wall. U can press a seperate set of arrows after u clear the screen, which will take u up stairs to the top of the wall (taking u to a tower, such as archers would stand to defend the castle, and along the walkway). How many characters do you think should be the max on screen at any given time? I reckon 16-20 but it's possible to have a lot more if you have a fast computer, or don't mind the game slowing down.

Close the Suggestions DB, Start a forum (52)

I have been thinking lately that it could be a good idea to close the suggestions database and open a forum instead. Here's why:

- MR3 is now far enough along that the next phase is to make an overall design so that I can see what I'm aiming for, put a release date in place etc. That involves drawing a line under the suggestions so I can sit down calmy and work through what is there.

Armageddon. Pah, What does Wizards have to worry bout it? With their Magical status and Long-Life Spans, it means nothing. Hey, they survived the Ice age and Dinosaur age and are still riding Bikes- Can't they survive a Measly Meteor shower?
