The Suggestion...
- I'd like to add something to this suggestion. I might think that it would be a better idea if you beat specified sections of the grid ( marked in yellow(or blue or whatever color. I just don't think it's much of a challenge to beat the game when ALL the important areas are marked)), THEN you get to fight the boss. And, instead of automatically being sent to the boss, his location appears in the place of an unimportant cleared or uncleared area. Before this, it will just be your average everyday battle zone. This would make the gameplay of MR much cooler, in my opinion.

Do you mean you should have to beat all of the key points before you can fight the boss?
I think that what he means...
Gnorthan doesn't love this idea. clever, nonetheless.

love your name
*laughs* Awesome name dude. How long does it take you to log on?
To Darren: thank you. the "G" is silent, by the way
To Hobbes: not long. I've got the computer set so i can just type "G" and it does the rest.

Lol, good to have new members with creative names. And I think that errrrr
I dont really get the idea, could you put it in a more simple way?

oops, Gnorthan just spoke in first person.
Okay. Reply time. First of all, you don't have to beat all the areas. Just the key battles in the world. Then you can fight the boss. This could give you a little more sense of exploration, instead of a straightforward path. In addition, it was pretty interesting to see my comments page being turned into a chat room. lol.
Sorry bout that dude.
Gnorthan apologizes as well
Roxblaster would like to inform Gnorthan that the "submit" button for posting comments need only be pressed once. Pressing it repeatedly will simply make copies of the post that have to be approved (technically, spam). Roxblaster is not particularly annoyed. Roxblaster just wants to tell this to Gnorthan for further superior third person comments.
It's no big deal. No harm done. But while we're going off-topic with the comments, I thought I might reccomend to you a place called funorb.com. It's a daughter site of Jagex, the makers of Runescape, and it's a pretty awesome place! If you do happen to go there, try the game Arcanists. There, I am known simply as Dyrfmaster. Play some battles, ask around ( I know a lot of people there), and you might find me. I'm on there weekdays anywhere from 3:30 to 4:30 (somewhere in that region of time), and I'm on weekends, well, possibly any time! Check it out.
I just realized what I should add onto this! Not all of the areas should be marked! Like secret areas with bonuses! For example, Merlin's extra spells are unmarked on the map, so even if you do have the requirements to meet the boss, you'll be more inclined to look through the rest of the map to find the scrolls. A brilliant way to re-introduce a larger incentive to explore into the game, again, if this idea is accepted.
Hey, Gnorthan, now that you fully understand the details of this suggestion, could you please reconsider your rating? I don't think Darren ( that is the creator of Metal Box, right? It's hard to keep up with everything, but from what I gather...) will consider this.
No, Gnorthan's pretty sure Steve made this site.
Gnorthan must apologize a second time. At first Gnorthan assumed skelodude meant that you must clear all screens to go to the boss. However, this knowledge changes Gnorthans opinion only slightly. Besides, you already have to collect all of the wizards. Perhaps we were really thinking the same thing all along. and the rooms with the wizards could be marked with that wizards color. Horay!
Gnorthan changes his vote to a...hmm...3.

lol. okay I can work with that. Also, Steve, if you're out there somewhere, I'm sorry for confusing you with Darren. I had a brain fart. Whoops. Oh! and if you do happen to see this, Steve, take a look at the suggestion that these comments were forged from. I think you'll like the idea ( even though Gnorthan doesn't. >( [I'm just kiddding, dude.])
I'm not harssing you or anything, I'm just curious: why 3?
rofl
I'm honoured that you think I am remotely important.
I just never get bored of this place. The king-dude's right, it's Steve.
And in terms of this suggestion btw, which I have just read, trouble is knowing where the boss is helps you prepare and, if you want to do so, explore the entire map before fighting the boss.

Well you can still explore the whole map while fighting the boss ( it would be in an area that isn't the only way to get from one place to another), and this would actually help you better prepare for the boss, considering that the marked battles that you fight in will test your abilities in the game.
I'd just like to mention that I have made a suggestion or two as the Dyrfmaster. You should check 'em out.
Dyfrmaster:Do you drink coffee? Like lots of it? not that it would be a bad thing I'm just wondering what gives you you extreme amounts of energy.
The power of Dyrf fuels my insanity!!!!!
*laughs insanely, while being pulled off by men in white coats to the district asylum*
Hey! I am calling out to you people! I need your help to raise this vote to the point where it can become roadmap-worthy! Also, steve, you NEED to take a look at this, and my guardians suggestion! PLEEEEZ!!!
Roadmap isn't an automatic thing on getting high votes, I don't believe. More complicated, is it not?
I thought that it was just based on whether something was a good idea or not.
Actually, I believe that only suggestions with a full 5.00 rating gets into the roadmap. Hven't you noticed? However, I believe that if I can get enough good votes and fives, steve may overlook the rating and put it in, anyway!

As far as I know, someone says this: ROADMAP!!!!!!
If Steve likes it, it's road mapped.

no. the skeliton lord is 4.something.
Hm. Well, good rating has got to help, somewhat.
Hey, Darren, now that you understand the concept a little more, what do you think?
Understand what concept?
In terms of this idea - I quite like the idea of separate sections of the map that you have to at least complete key battles in in order to unlock the location of the evil wizard dude who's in whichever game this is.
I don't know if that's what you're saying, but that's how I'm reading it.
On the other hand, I can't see how this relates to the original idea...at all.
Seriously. What's this got to do with it?

It realy sounds like some idea a while back regarding keys and locked doors/areas, which was deemed to be too much work for too little reward(if I'm not mistaken).
Hmmm. Well I still like it.
No. It's not locked doors/areas. There is a place where there is an unimportant battle, but when you complete all the key battles, this place changes to the boss location ( after you've beaten the fight there and left it once). Also, this brings me to the idea of seperate maps with multiple bosses in the game, leading up to the final bosses, one of the demented wizards (or the Black wiz-er-Sorcerer himself). Which will now lead me to a followup suggestion.
