scarlet said the the gun bulits were in level 3 (mr3) but then we find out that is not in the game . whys that

Berlin finds them in MR3, you have to watch the script that happens if you look at the TV after you've rescued Berlin to find that out though.

It's a bit hidden I admit.

for the begining of mr4, merlin could be fighting his way back to the flat(towers of aldevar)to get the gmg, which has also been overrun with monsters

Yea, bring it back for MR4. Maybe at the beginning Ulin could turn up and say he'd gone to fetch it and someone had stolen it, then you later find it in an out-of-the way, hard to get to part of the map guarded by a giant skeleton (which sketch made, y'know)

I think a truely awesome weapon would be the GMG and the Energy Pulse spell. I can see it now...

(harp music and fade to dreamscape)

Merlin mowing down a ton of whoevers with a hail of energy bullets!

(returns to reality)

topic - GMG + energy mines = hellspreader (big no no)

the mines were a little bit overpowered as it was. if you got the GMG and the mines..... lol

you could 'paint' a line of mines, or a wall of mines just by sweeping you mouse across the screen... totally unfair, at least without the GMG you have to click a lot for those godly mines.
i've also found that you can use the mines to corner and mass kill anything... (1x stacked black golems being continually smashed into the wall by mines placed 1/2 an inch out)

Gnorthan. I understand that you want the energy beam back but remember how it made the end of Merlin's Revenge 2 way too easy?


well, to continue the death star analogy, Gnorthan remembers that it was blown to pieces .

Gnorthans point is that the laser did have its Achilles heel (Bugs and other small enemies).

Or we could just include a larger amounts of brute force.

I've now got parts of this to work. You can now collect the golden machine gun, and it will change your sprite, and cause you to charge from the side. Still to do: autofire, on/off, display.

I think some time still needs to go into all the displayers for the top left bars and such, so they can set where the displayer appears by which gets collected first(a wizard or a gmg, or whatever else gets found, say... a tea set)

Did you find the it took a lot less time to re-write than you expected? I think that shows that a lot of programming time is spent figuring out what to do. Once you know, you can be very quick.
