I agree. And it's a vector, which makes it slow to draw - especially on older computers.

I don't like energy beam that much either; it is too easy to use. Just the good old Energy Blast + Golden Machine Gun... Energy Blast should have more damage though.

energybeam is good if its not as powerful as in mr2.

I agree with dantheman, energy beam basicly beat the game for me.

If you could only use it without the GMG, it mightn't be so bad, but I agree that it makes the game too easy

No, I don't like the point & instant-hit feeling of it. I like how Energy Blast takes time to travel, time for the gun to recharge, etc. It just gives teh game a more challenging feeling. However Energy Blast should, in the endgame, charge to a larger degree, fire faster, and do WAY more damage than energy beam .

I agree with taking out the Energy Beam. It would have been better to play without because i didnt have alot of fun playing the game with the Energy Beam, since for most monsters it killed them in about 1 second. <(**<)

That's true. For the final level of MR2, I just ran in and killed the scarlet wizard without summoning anything. It was kinda sad. Plus, the energy blast is just COOLER! I mean, with the GMG, then you see all these explosions flying around eradicated everything in your path! BODIES FLY EVERYWHERE! MWHA HA HA!!!...

max, bodies cant "Fly" in MR. just move around.

I think it should go but something similar (not so powerful) should replace it.

or maybe a boosted Energy blast. u start with yellow, then u can get other but orange and finally one red

i agree with Lord_Murderer, it should stay but weaker.

it shpuld stay. i mean, u dont have to use it. the first 3 times i played through on hard, i didnt use it. the trick is a) make it weaker. b) make more enemies) c) dont use it. and if for tchnical reasons we cant have more enemies, make them stronger.

I think it should sta, but modify it, so it's like one huge energy beam at a time (Doing about half as much damage as the original)

Oh, and by the way.. i found the GMG to be almost useless with the energy blast.. i killed scarlet in one second, and was really surprised that the main boss of the game ways easier than a goblin.

Erm.. back on track, Keep the Energy Beam, make it ONE beam at a time, and half as powerful.

How about it doesn't work with GMG, and then charging it makes it fire in a wider arc (check pic). Also, It would do more damage the more you charge it.

Hello. I agrre, sure, it's fun seeing everyone die instantly, but it takes out all the fun, you just go "hello, oh, sorry, goodbye" and you're done.

I think Energy Beam shouldn't work for the GMG, but other than that, leave it be.

Though Energy Beam is powerful it is supposed to be. I is the final spell and should be the best. If it is too powerful it could simply be made less so.
Besides, the enemies get more powerful as the game progresses, so once you've had it for a while it isn't that insane.
