Yeah, but he could put in an appearance in MR3 or 4 as well if people want that to happen.
The final showdown should be at the end of MR5, but there could be mini-confrontations before that that end with the Black Sorceror being wounded but not defeated.

Here is my idea for the mechanics of him.
Attack: The Black Sorcerer uses Energy Blast, Monster Summon, and Morph.
When morphed the Black Sorcerer looks exactly like the creature he morphed into. However, when he is killed he morphs back, taking damage equal to the other creature's life. When morphed the Black Sorcerer deals 5X damage than what the creature would normally deal.
HP: 100 or so.
Damage: Energy Blast deals massive damage, monster summon medium, morph low.
Foot Velocity: Medium

For a real challenge, have the black sorcerer be exactly like Merlin, with stats equal to Merlin and additions because of the potions, and the same spells, BUT
He has triple your health.

He's just a bit faster.
When you get hit by his spells, you flinch and get knocked back a little.
If you switch to the same scroll he's using, you get stunned for 10 seconds, and then automatically switch back.
(This is how to defeat him)
If he switches onto your scroll, he gets thrown into a little corner and is stunned for 3 seconds.
He has triple your health.

We need to have the black sorcerer in the game.
If he has energy blast, then make it black since he's evil, and huge.
if he does appear in minor battles, than have the other "evil" wizards for minor battles too (i hate waiting!!)
It would be cool for the Black Sorcerer to have his special "Black" Energy Blast. Maybe it could have its own effect?
mxwsn, that is a horable idea. I think you should just kill him like any other boss, with brute force (but there may be some stradagy, like he has a force field that only goes down at cirtan times)
I don't think brute force is good. I prefer a real challenge, both with the mind *and* reflexes.

Whoa! That means if the BS morphs into a Rox (rock golem) just one hit and you're dead!
err...the black sourcerer...I always thought that in the battle where you kill him he should have the ability to turn into the scary thing from MR2's ending...could slow the game down, but soooo dramatic. When the sowtware for making MR games is all ready I'm gonna make a series where you have to fight his twin brother, who shares the name "Black Sourcerer".

You shouldn't battle the black sorcerer in MR3 because you would have to battle the same boss in the next few versions too and that would be dumb.
