The Suggestion...
As he drains them, their powers get less. It will take him quite a while to do because he is the only one doing it. If he gets hit while he works, he will teleport out of the screen to heal himself and then teleport back in again to continue.

I think that would be pretty neat... what if you have to protect Ulin? He could, for instance, be resistant only to your type of spell, so you have to blast him across the room to avoid enemy attacks while avoiding them yourself. Or maybe you should have to fight the sorcerer yourself, so this would be how you have to get past the door, by weakening it somehow with Ulin. I like the idea anyway.
I just had a great idea! What if, in order to defeat the wizards and waste them so Ulin can drain off their powers, they had to shoot smaller spells? This sounds a little complicated, but here?s how I think it could work..
A wizard shoots healing blasts at himself, along with everything else. (Merlin cannot acquire this spell.) In order to defeat him, Ulin has to drain excess magical ?aura? so that the healing blasts grow smaller, small enough for Merlin to waste him and allow himself to be controlled so Ulin can drain off the excess energy.

no i like steve's idea
I think that it woud be cool if you coud morph ulin and then confuse the other wizards
Good concept for the boss fights! Maybe each wizard has a different method you need to distract them. One could be a straight out fight, one could involve hitting his spells back at him, etc. You could think of something interesting. Also, how about there is some way to try to get them to fight the evil power, so they are stunned for a few seconds while their good wrestles with their evil.
Sounds good! I'll give it some thought. Maybe people will want to suggest different distractions for different wizards...
Oh, I know! One wizard has a pet of some kind somewhere on the screen. You have to blast it, and the wizard will get angry and start attacking you instead of Ulin. (and then if it's a big viscious pet, after the wizard is drained the pet breaks free and you have to defeat it)
And maybe for the wizards you get some kind of a bonus if you don't injure them too much (since after all they're really just good guys)
About the draining itself, perhaps Ulin slowly charges up a special draining blast, and you have to fire an energy blast so it explodes at the same time as the draining blast to damage the wizard. do this enough times and you win.

I like the pet idea - that sounds delightfully complicated!
I don't think it should be necessary to time your blasts with Ulin's he will fire independantly of you. And it is already established that energy blasts will damage magical beings like wizards from your fight with the scarlet wizard in MR2.

not bad at al... perhaps one method would be destry...some enemy...a relitvly weak one, a dog thing, say, and the wizard attacks you for a while... also, what should happen if ulin is wasted???
You could distract a wizard by morphing into a realy fast monstor and run around it while blasting him to make him dizzy.
i just like steve's original suggestion. Maybe, though, if its not enough to distract the wizards just be running around and making them shoot u instead, Ulin could give u a stun spell and u stun the wizards while they get drained...
Thnx for looking,

to keep himself from becoming evil, Ulin should put the excess magic into the scenery, making the wizards on the screen stronger
Yea, but it's more dramatic if he's evil. Then again, maybe I should find out what we're talking about. Although, I see your point. However, since it usually requires so many wizards to drain someone, I would have thought he'd need the energy just to keep from dying!
what?
Uh, Ulin. He said when he drained Merlin in MR2 that they could do it 'with most of us here' but on his own he'd need all the energy from Merlin or else he'd die from the energy loss caused by draining Merlin.
Is this still something of interest?
I am not too fond of the idea...
One flaw I see in this.
At the end of MR2, the wizards were able to drain Merlin and Antomolin (sp?) because there were so many of them, and, by redistributing the power evenly among everyone, nobody had so much power that they were corrupted. However, if Ulin were to try to drain a sorcerer by himself, it seems like the power would just be transfered from the sorcerer to Ulin, so the sorcerer would be uncorrupted, and Ulin would be corrupted.

Ulin only recently developed/learned the spell?
Actually since a sorcerer is a source of magic rather a mere manipulator of it, Ulin would be corrupted, and the sorcerer would remain unaffected.
Even if all the wizards tried to drain him, they would all just get corrupted.
