Meeps (50)

i think that there should be thengs called meeps,thery look like spiders but they are green and have two fangs an when they hit you they gain 1 heath point. here are are the stats for a green meep.

heath:15(+3 per level)

speed:2X faster than merlin

attack:2.5(+0.5 per level)

attack speed: same as a army archer

other1:gains 1 heath per attack

other2:resitantat to pisical attacks(-50%)

other3:vurnuble to magical attacks(+50%)

URLs that start with https:// (4)

Typical URLs are parsed correctly to automatically become enclosed in <a> tags. However, this does not happen if the URL starts with https://. Considering that many browsers these days also copy the URI scheme (unlike when this was implemented and e.g. IE6 would copy only what the user sees), this would be handy to avoid the manual input of <a> tags altogether.

Don't load all comments when approving (3)

Hi!

Turns out that the Ajax script for loading only the most recent comments is not used when approving comments... Which of course makes it necessary to scroll through the entirety of huge suggestions when approving comments.

I'm doubtful this will ever be implemented, but hey, a suggestion DB is for making suggestions, right? ;)

So there's this project course I'm taking, and I'm leaning towards a game design -oriented theme. Most of the options didn't really spark me that much, but then I noticed "tower defense" amongst the possible genres. Of course, what better way would there be to do it than steal other people's ideas and graphics expand the MR fangame universe while at it.

Merlin Evolution Released! (75)

I have released a brand new concept in game design - a game that designs itself! As far as I know this is the first game that does this - so remember you saw it here first.

Merlin Evolution is MR4 (or MR4 as it stood back in Oct 2011) with a map that is generated on the principles of evolution.

Ninja with Sprite (12)

I did a ninja sprite sheet with a katana.

The way he attack is he winds up while taking a step back then. If the enemy targeted is close he slices them with a two-handed rising slash. If the enemy is farther away he does a short charge and dash attack towards them.

I can add more different animations but I think he looks pretty tight.

Danmaku - the bullet hell (pulse) (5)

Among doing my big map project, I have been working on other smaller maps as well.. Here I present to you the Merlin's Danmaku series, a pair of difficult linear maps that are as close to a shooter as a MR game can get.

The enemies in both maps are completely the same, but the difference in your spell makes a huge impact on the strategies available. MR1-esque (14)

Long time no see! Here's my "new" map, modeled tile-by-tile after the map from the original MR! However, a lot has been changed as well, to make use of MR Open's engine. It's not nearly as tough as the danmaku maps, but it should still give quite a challenge to the average player while having the fun MR1-ish feeling. The question lingers, though - will you be able to beat it?

Ratings on Created maps (23)

I think it would be grand to have ratings on the Merlin Created maps. You could just fetch the rating for the individual suggestions on the map selection page and then prompt users to rate the map (i.e. the suggestion) on the game page.

(Created also doesn't have a game category in the suggestion creation dropdown menu, or I just can't see it)

Better targeting system (9)

Seeing how allied units are slow to choose their targets, the target chooser for magical units could be made a little smarter while reducing the load (at the expense of memory). I don't know the current implementation, but what I had in mind was that since magical units generally have an unlimited range, they could have a sort of priority list of the currently alive enemies and target not the one closest but the one of highest priority.
